Windower Not Working For Me.. Help Me Out.

windower keeps crashing for me soon as I get to the intro part where they discuss the crystal.. i keep getting a "Resources failed to read areas" and it crashes before i get to the character selection screen. i dont know what to do

I had same problem as everyone else using WIn7 x64. I did the following to get it to work properly. Cant say for sure which one fixed it for sure, but the plugins given in the 3.431 were the problem I think. I will come back later and give some results on my troubleshooting.

1. Did a search in my C: for any prior versions of Windower. Deleted them all. Be sure to save your Script folder if you wanna save your macros
2. Shut down EVGA Precision X
3. Downloaded fresh version of Windower (3.431in this case)
4. Made sure my resolutions matched in both the FFXI Config AND the Windower launcher.ini file
5. Went into plugins folder and deleted recast.dll and the other file that came with.
6. Downloaded standalone Recast.dll file
7. Right click the Launcher.exe file and go to compatibility tab. Check Run in compatibility mode for Windows 7

After I did all of this it worked just fine. I hope this helps!!
